Fat Metabolism 3 day clean
I am in the mood for overkill. My life had become out of control. Waking up at 2 am, getting out of bed, drinking a few glasses of wine and eating a turkey sandwich loaded with mayo was occurring on a regular basis. Depression and anxiety were creeping deeper into my thoughts and ruining my life. I needed to create a clean slate. What pushed me to rethink my life and how I was living started on April 24 during one of my night time excursions to the fridge. Cernovich posted an excerpt from Rich Roll's book Finding Ultra. It was interesting so I followed the link to read more about Rich Roll. The following day I ordered the audio book and began listening as I walked or ran. The poignant question Rich asked himself was whether this is how he wanted to live the rest of his life? Is this it?
That was April 24-Day 1. I did not give up alcohol or eating a crappy diet although I tried to do a better job. I began walking more and adding in more water, nutrient dense foods, reading 10 pages a day, and getting outside more. Also making sure I read my daily Bible passages. I fell off a few times but at least my focus had started to change. After 8 days of not really seeing any changes in my sleep, body, or mind I decided I needed something more stringent.
Week 2 but Day of FF Fat Metabolism
Monday May 2. The kids are back in school and it is time for me to get to work. Despite not having all of the ingredients for the fat metabolism drink, I began the 3 day booster. I felt energized. My mood went up and I did not feel hungry. Even when Tucker got into some trouble at school, my mood remained calm. V8 drink, smoothy for lunch, a healthy dinner of steak and caprese salad with 1 glass of red wine. 3 miles walking
Tuesday May 3 still feeling great. I did the v8 drinks, a lunch smoothy, and a dinner of steak and caprese again with 1 glass of wine. 7 miles
Wednesday May 4 feeling good but the hunger is creeping in. I realized afterward that I was not following the diet by adding carrots, celery, and cucumber slices to feel like I was actually eating food. My sleep was less than the previous 2 nights since I was a little worried about Cannon. Weighed myself after walking and morning v8 drink. It was 141. ugh. Gotta get it down. 5 miles
Thursday May 5 weight 138 feeling a little bloated. I am not really going to the bathroom as regularly as I should. I also don't do the night time v8 drink. If I want the full benefit I have to start following directions. Today I shift to 5 day booster with a healthy lunch and dinner. Well...it did not work out that way. I fell off my plan. 4 miles
Friday May 6 back to the same ol' crappy food. I did do my morning v8 drink and it was awful. I realize that when I don't get proper sleep I end up eating and drinking more than I should. Which looks like turkey sandwich, cheese, mayo, chips, wine, and junk 7 miles
Saturday May 7 I had a good sleep last night. I am not weighing myself until Monday morning. Hopefully I can do a better job on my food during the day today. I started with a v8 drink, water, coffee and supplements. A few bites of a scone ugh already cheating and it's only 7am.
Goal is to get to 135 by next Friday. I know that my weight will fluctuate this weekend since I am not 100% following the diet. Monday I will do the full v8 drink and smoothy boost. I would also like to add in a little more jogging and weights. Walking is good because it doesn't increase my cortisol levels. Keep growing.

½ cup fresh squeezed lime or lemon juice
½ cup filtered water (unless using juice)
Handful of fresh parsley
Handful of fresh cilantro
1 green onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/8 teaspoon cayenne (or as desired)
2 teaspoons olive oil
½ teaspoon Seaweed Gomasio
½ teaspoon Flora-Key (or powdered probiotic of your choice)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
6 ice cubesCombine all ingredients in a blender until the desired consistency is reached.
