Day 60 Thursday May 29

 I made it 2 months. Two months could also be on day 62 because 31 days equals a month. Anyway...I am happy to have the longest stretch of 75 Hard and getting closer to the end-3 hands away. Right now I am feeling so sick from the frog dissection that I cannot write my food below. Let's just say, I did not eat all of my protein and calories because I was sick to my stomach and could not get rid of the formaldehyde smell.  Quick summary-eggs, homemade bread, cc, z bar 500 calories/20g protein  Lunch apple, rice, rice-chicken-avocado but it made me sick    400 calories/25g protein (maybe) Dinner-coffee, ezek with cc-strawberries and PB (2), protein yogurt  400 calories/30g protein  Maybe that is correct...anyway that is all I can recall.  Reading is going well. Day 58 Tuesday May 27 getting closer

 I am almost into the final stretch. Getting close to 15 days to go. Thursday starts the 15-day countdown. Exciting things are happening these next few day. We have frog dissections planned for Thursday and Friday, which should go well because I am going to prep them and guide them slowly through the process  Up at 5:30  walked Shadow 2 miles and did the 20 min meditation. Whenever it gets to the friend section, I feel a little uneasy. I haven't really made a friend in my adult life. It is so difficult. When I thought I had made a friend, it fell apart along with everything else during that time. Dead Day 54 Friday

 I am exhausted. I have not been sleeping well...I mean I am sleeping through the night and getting about 7-8 hours of consecutive sleep, but I need more. This morning was just an easy 45 minute run which I did in 40' pouring rain. I don't love the warm weather, but this rain is depressing. Today was the last day before a long weekend. I am looking forward to it. Not sure what I will do other than run and workout and relax. I have to figure out the frog dissection. Perhaps doing it with my A block will be like a trial run. Wednesday -Thursday

 Woke up at 4:45 am laid in bed until 5am then up to get my coffee and bagel. Ready to run by 5:25 15 minute warm up, I did flossing and mobility around the house then out for about 9 minutes with shadow. To the track for speed workout. 3x5 min at 6:40 pace I hit them all. It was .75 in 5 min.  up at 5:15 Coffee and ezek with CC then took Shadow for a 2 mile walk and did some stretches. Knocked off workout 1 and started my water.  Today is a field trip with the kids. weekend 7 days 48 and 49

 Saturday- Last night Tucker headed off to his first prom. It almost went down without a hitch. His suit coat was too big (we forgot to try it on when we got home). We still don't know if we bought the wrong coat or if he lost that much weight since Lacrosse season began. My guess is that most of the boys were wearing tuxedos or skinny fit suits and his is a classic fuller suit. He was upset but made it through the frustration. After the kids left we three planned to go to TJMaxx and grocery store. Well the car we just spent $1400 to fix dropped the transmission or something. We are back to one car that runs well. I guess we need to get another one? Not sure what to do the bills are piling up.  I was thinking about how quickly everything moves. Bebe has been gone 13 years! Cannon is going to turn 23 this summer, I am 54! The 7th graders remind me frequently of my age. It is just a number and I plan to be around for a long time if I can do anything about it. Week 7 Day 46 and 47

 Wrapping up week 7 Yesterday was a crazy Thursday. Our week at school was out of balance with testing, presentations, and concerts. I did not have to do much planning but it did make me feel like I was running ragged. At least I finally got my contract for next or at least a letter of intent. Got my things done. At lunch I ran out for coffee and I think it was just too much caffeine and my tummy was hurting. I had horrible jitters and anxiousness even after a long walk with the dogs. I kept telling myself to calm down, and that I was safe but it was out of control. The guys had a big lacrosse game and it was such a good game, up 2, tied, one up and then the other. Amazing win for FA. Tucker was exhausted. Tonight is prom and then the rest of the month is good times with May term.  Yesterday got it all done. Felt exhausted and blah when I got home. Week 7 Tuesday Day 44-45 Milestones

 Tuesday I am exhausted from a hard workout plus lift followed by a long run followed by yesterday's surprise sprints. My legs need a break. Today is sorta easy...I need to figure out drivers, groups, etc for our field trip. I pray that I have completed all the proper steps. Week 7 moving into the 30 days to go mark

 It was a nice weekend once we got past all the rain. Tucker had a rainy lacrosse game Friday followed by another on Saturday. After the game the sun came out and dried up all the flooding from the previous week of non-stop rain. Saturday I watched the game then took Campbell to Lincoln to grab her prom dress and to clean up the mess Cannon left in his attempt to clean the fridge. Returned to FA, had dinner, and I went directly to bed asleep by 8:45. My long run was perfectly slow with the sun rising and a light breeze. I found a worship playlist for the second half and it really had me flying. I have been reminded of my purpose in teaching. It is not about the money but the mission. Being a positive influence for these students and attempting to help them see the world as it is. My big question: how do I teach science classically? My job security for next year is a little better than 50/50. I can't say anything until I have the contract in hand. If I do keep my job, I think we are...

 Friday (8 hours sleep) I woke up feeling nauseous. I took my IM8 and electrolytes, but still had a yucky tummy so I saved my eggs and burger for lunch. Why wouldn't I be hungry in the morning? I ran out the door into the rainy morning ready for another Friday. School went well. I got my steps in the rain at morning walk, recess, and freecess. I got word that my job is (probably) safe which makes me very relieved. Thursday closing out the week

I slept a full 8 hours last night and as usual, I could have slept another 2 hours. I awoke just before my 5am wake-up call. Routine: grab my clothes, to the bathroom, change, coffee, toast with stuff, warm up and go. It was a perfect morning where the sun is rising, heating up the morning. Shadow came with me for 3 slow miles. It was just what I needed this  morning. Weekend 5 Day 34&35

 I finally went to the bathroom this morning. Keep incorporating fiber and metamucil until I get back to regular BM. I will have to wait to do my run until things settle.  Sleep-about 8 hours. The guys came home from their lacrosse game excited about the win and wanting to share their success. It was a battle, but they came out on top. It got me thinking about watching Tucker play and that we may only have another year of games. It is with mixed emotions that I watch him play. Part of me is waiting for him to explode or afraid he will explode. Had I not been on the sidelines for that game when he was hyperventilating, I might not feel this way. But I did and I do. Friday May 2 Day 33 Week 5

 I did everything late today. I forgot about the picture, so I pulled up my shirt and got a quick photo of my distended belly. The protein has me feeling a little bloated, constipated, and retaining water. I will need to figure out my fiber and get on track with good gut health.  Last night, I slept a good 8.5 hours which I desperately needed. Day 32 Thursday

 Day 32 and I am feeling tired. Milestones this week: 33 (halfway to the 66, which is required for habit formation), 35 is 5 weeks (it feels like I have been doing this for much longer), then there is 37=at noon it will be halfway, I wonder if the second half goes by faster since I am already into the habit of water, workout, read, repeat.  Exhausted from a poor night of sleep. For some reason, I could not fall asleep last night. Could it be my coffee and Keto mug cake with cocoa? Yes! I got into bed at 9:30 but didn't sleep until 10:30ish. I only got 6 hours and 43 minutes. My stomach hurt last night, and I had bad gas. I really need to use the bathroom regularly.
