Well the season is coming to an end. Both kids have made it to pre-season championship events. Campbell with NH State Championship and Tucker at Eastern Finals. It is not what Tucker wanted but things did not go his way DNF Super G qualifier and a tough weekend at champs. Despite those let downs he is have a solid season. Hopefully he finishes it off with gusto. 

Today Psalm 67 & 69

To the nations. Exhorting the people to praise God because God judges the nations righteously. 

Psalm 69 is a psalm of deliverance. save me from the waters coming unto my soul. What are those waters? Waves of guilt, shame, isolation, and fear all wash over me and prevent me from seeing the many blessings we have been given. Gratitude is the antidote to selfishness and depression. "O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee." That is the truth. Thou hast known my reproach and shame and my dishonor. God is merciful. When we are surrounded, he has our back and front and side! 

Proverbs 7-remember my commandments. 7:11 she is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house now is she without, now in the streets and lieth in wait at every corner. That is not a Proverbs 31 woman but a contrary woman set on her own path. It is what the devil loves and what feminism created. 

Simple abundance journal began with the quote "A little of what you fancy, does you good." I lack moderation lately which dampens the little pleasures. A glass of wine is special, a bottle is gluttonous. 

Today is a good day to have a good day. It is time to buckle up and get it done. I have a few goals floating around in my head. Going back to work is exciting, scary, and necessary. The thought of not getting the job which has not been posted have not entered my mind. In a way, I feel like the job is mine for the asking. If it opens I think they might like to have me on staff especially since I have housing and family at the school. The one concern is Campbell. 

When I look back at Paige's progress, I am trying to think about when she took all of the trips. I am pretty sure she traveled 

2019 she was a first year and traveled with BBTS in the summer and fall. She may have gone to Gregory's camp in October but the other trips were with BBTS. I am pretty sure she went to Stubai, Hintertux, Stelvio...It must have been that year when Tucker was there because that fateful birthday dinner we were talking about

Let me tell you about a bear, a skunk, and a hen. Day 68

 I am nearing the end of the challenge. One more weekend, 3 days of school, 1 more faculty day, and a lacrosse playoff game. I am a little undecided about whether I will drink on Friday night. I guess I have to see what happens.  Up at 4:47 still tired but I figured I needed to get up to get my walk before it got too hot and muggy  I had toast, 3 eggs, and coffee. Afterwards I took the dogs for a walk. It was already muggy and buggy. Gross. We headed out to the field then turned down icehouse so Ripper could poop in the woods. Well I turned the corner and saw a black thing in the road. I feel like it was a bear. It looked narrow but it was too slow and deliberate to be a dog. We turned and ran the other way. The black spot was still there. Finally when I took a break to walk the dogs pulled me to the right towards a clump of trees. Right there in front of me was a skunk with its tail up ready to shoot. One week later

For 60 hours, I let all the requirements of 75 Hard fade away. I had wine, margaritas, junk food and no workouts. It is time to get back to it. I have to make a decision about the 55k. Am I in?  I continued living large for the entire week post-75 hard. It has been wild. Friday was my final day. The kids were waiting for their big playoff game while I finished my checklist and cooked burrito casserole. The game was exciting with the bomb threat, change of venue, and the eventual big win. I had my margaritas and burrito casserole. We hosted Ricardo from Germany and Nomar from Brooklyn, who will be coming here next year. On Saturday morning, the boys had an easy practice, I did my long run, and we just hung out all day. I really don't remember what else we did... Sunday was Father's Day.
