Tucker said he will join me for the final 60 days of 75 Hard. He might struggle with the water and 2nd workout but he said he will give it a go. We will see.
My chest is looking so much better. I guess the decrease in inflammation along with hydration is helping. I am not where I need to be yet. My hips and belly are still holding onto too much fat. Last time around, it was not until 21 days that I started to see real changes. Actually that was 21 in a row but I had previously done a week before falling off for 5 days then back on track. So 30 days is when I will feel my clothes change in their fit.
Tomorrow-Timed run then an hour or 7 miles. Not sure if I should do my lunge workout or just go easy. Probably get some speed in there.
Running Thoughts I loved my run this morning. Good music, beautiful scenery, and my hamstring felt ok. Still tightness, but better than last week. The exercises must be working. I have been thinking about the purpose of 75Hard. It is not about getting healthy for a few weeks. It is not about losing weight. Although these are two of the reasons, I do 75 Hard. The idea of 75 days is hard. 30 days makes sense, many challenges are 30 days or 1 month. 40 days? Sure. That is how long it takes to form a new habit. 60 days is more difficult but still in the realm of reality being 2 months of a challenge. But 75 days? That isn't even and even number. It means 2 months plus 2 weeks, plus 1 more day for good measure. How will it feel to really go the full 75 days? No excuses.
Friday the 13th at 6 pm is my end date. That is my goal. That is my focus. School ends on Thursday, we have meetings on Friday and then we can celebrate. I know I can do it. The previous two times, I already had it in my head that I would end early. Not this time. I am changing my thinking and I really want to see if I can do it. I have this week, then vacation, a few weeks of school with field trips and fun, then the final push in June. Tucker's birthday might be boring but we can go out and enjoy a huge steak and fruit for dessert. I asked him to join me. I don't think he can handle the water part of it.
Sleep This week my sleep was pretty good but I did spend time before bed scrolling though an account I found where the lady documented her 75 hard journey 3 years in a row. What I found is that she too counts her steps at work (she is a sub teacher). That made me feel confident in my situation. There is a big difference between wealthy stay at home mom and working mom. I know that is not the point. I will continue to strive for the continuous 45 minute workouts. It is an area that I could clean up but for now I am happy with the changes I am making.
Diet My diet plan is to stop eating by 6pm, include at least 100g protein, and follow a carnivore style diet plan. At this point, as my running is picking up, I feel like I need more healthy carbs like sweet potatoes. I also need more fiber because my gut is struggling. I will continue to work on adding chia seeds or flax. I stopped eating cottage cheese, cheese, and most dairy because I thought is could be causing some stomach issues. I had yogurt yesterday and seemed to be ok. I would also like to try chia pudding.
Water Before breakfast-I tried my new electrolytes. GROSS. It tastes like drinking sea water. I think it must go in my entire gallon of water. This will be tough. I have 2 months until it is gone.
Mobility and stretch 10 min, Run 60 minutes then cool down with dogs. Total 1:25=
