One week later

For 60 hours, I let all the requirements of 75 Hard fade away. I had wine, margaritas, junk food and no workouts. It is time to get back to it. I have to make a decision about the 55k. Am I in?

I continued living large for the entire week post-75 hard. It has been wild. Friday was my final day. The kids were waiting for their big playoff game while I finished my checklist and cooked burrito casserole. The game was exciting with the bomb threat, change of venue, and the eventual big win. I had my margaritas and burrito casserole. We hosted Ricardo from Germany and Nomar from Brooklyn, who will be coming here next year. On Saturday morning, the boys had an easy practice, I did my long run, and we just hung out all day. I really don't remember what else we did... Sunday was Father's Day. We argued about what to do and finally said, let's go to Portland. It was a beautiful, cool day. We ate at the Port Hole (something like that). It was so delicious. I had fish tacos, Tucker had lobster tacos, and the rest had fried haddock with French fries. We also walked around town and laughed at Tucker-A lot! He  jay walked whenever he wanted to cross the street, and then he pulled down a rack of sweatshirts and just walked away. There must be more, but I have forgotten.

Monday it was another long day. I am pretty sure we went shopping because we go shopping every day.

I have felt so many emotions. For 2.5 months, my energy went into completing the tasks of 75 Hard along with all of my other obligations. Part of me slept through those months. It was a grind. A daily marathon to get everything done. Did I even

How can something take up so much of my time and energy and then just end? That is life. You are focused on something and then, in a moment, it is over. 75 days, 2.5 months focused on a goal, now I am sitting here without a concern for what I put into my body. I did walk yesterday and today and my diet has been ok. Actually Friday was ok except for the cookie and margarita. Yesterday I had burrito casserole, margarita, pizza and wine, and just did whatever I wanted along with a walk.

Things to keep up...

1. Water. It doesn't have to be a gallon, but it needs to be significantly more than my usual intake

2. walking-I do enjoy a good walk. Steps at least 20k just keep moving

3. weight training-100 swings. My hip and rib are hurting a little right now so I might need to let it rest but lifting is essential to maintaining the weight loss.

4. Reading keep a book going at all times. Even if it is a page or 2 it is better than scrolling

5. Scale-I need to jump on the scale at least 1xweek to keep myself in check. The weight piles on quickly.
